Vegetarian Appetizers: The Veggie Dish That Kids Will Love

Most children do not find the vegetables very appealing. That is why the veggies always end up untouched at the side of the plate.

If you are a parent, this situation could pose a big problem. It could be a tedious task to encourage kids to eat something healthy and nutritious. Thus, you are caught with the hard choice of giving your kids delicious, yet unhealthy meals or providing them with a nutrient-packed diet.

The answer is simple--- provide both; prepare a yummy vegetable dish. Eating vegetables can be delicious. It all boils down to how you cook it and, of course, present it.

One simple dish that you can make is the hot cheesy spinach dip. This dish is a vegetarian recipe that uses fresh spinach as its main ingredient. A cheese dip is added to make this green and healthy appetizer more appealing to children.

It is easy to prepare this dish. You simply need butter, chopped garlic, a bunch of baby spinach, apple cider vinegar, a dash of salt and pepper to taste, hot sauce, chopped green onions, some shredded mozzarella cheese and mayonnaise.

Start melting the butter in a small sauce pan. Add in the garlic, baby spinach and the apple cider vinegar. Stir the ingredients until the spinach has wilted.

Flavor the mixture by adding some salt, pepper and a bit of hot sauce. Toss in the green onion, mozzarella and the mayonnaise. Make sure that you mix everything well.

Place the spinach mixture inside the oven and bake it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!
